Thank you, Santa Muerte! Cleansing & Fiery Wall of Protection Ritual

Thank you, Santa Muerte! Cleansing & Fiery Wall of Protection Ritual
A client needed a ritual for Cleansing and a Fiery Wall of Protection from some evil and negativity that was being inflicted upon him. While getting ready for the ritual I kept "seeing" Santa Muerte, but as I'd only recently introduced myself to Her, I wasn't sure if I should follow where I was being led or not.

I am sooo glad I did!

Since I didn't have an actual statue of her, I thought I would just ask for her assistance. However, while on my computer looking for something completely different, I found a beautiful picture of Her and printed it out to place on the altar. I'd say she was leading me, for sure. I will be purchasing a statue of her asap!

Here is a picture at the beginning of the ritual:

Here is the end of the ritual:

Look how the flame is! The flame is standing almost a foot high and is shaped like the image of Santa Muerte in the picture behind it. This picture was taken just as the plate broken in two. This was a very powerful ritual and I'm very sure the client will be pleased with the feelings of freedom from all that negativity and evil that was surrounding him.

THANK YOU, SANTA MUERTE FOR YOUR BLESSINGS!

2013 Schedule for Gardening by the Moon

2013 Schedule for Gardening by the Moon

Last year I didn't plant a garden because I thought we'd be moved to Kansas before I could harvest it....and why let someone else benefit from my hard work?! LOL (yeah, I'm selfish that way!) Plus, maybe they wouldn't keep it up, then it would've been a complete waste. Well, I was wrong about moving and I ended up missing out on all those wonderful fresh veggies & herbs.

This year we will be in Kansas and I will definitely include planting a garden as part of the start-up work aside from working on getting the old brick schoolhouse into a livable home.  Hubby might not like that I'll take that time to do so, but I will not be without all those great vegetables another year. I enjoy watching them all grow, and then harvesting them for fresh salads or herbs for seasoning, it just can't be beat!

I joined Mike the Gardener's "Seeds of the Month Club" several months ago and have received envelopes of 4 pkts of seeds each month (8 the first month), so I will have lots of choices for planting. And I'll be able to have a winter garden as well. Something I've been a bit afraid of trying, but definitely want to! There are many seeds that we have no interest in growing as they're nothing we would be interested in eating. I may find a resource for re-selling or trading them.

So, below is this year's planting schedule from The Farmer's Almanac (also linked below). Hope y'all's garden plans go as well as you plan! :)

ESSIAC Tea - The Cancer Patient's Tea

ESSIAC Tea - The Cancer Patient's Tea
I've had this recipe for years. I cannot verify that it is the exact ESSIAC Tea recipe, but the source I found it at was a reputable one (although, I don't remember what it was as it is not listed in my files).

I keep this recipe, and will make it up one day when I have all of the ingredients that I've grown myself or wildcrafted from my property. I do not trust what I can buy off-the-shelf or from bulk bins in a "health food" store. Those herbs could've been harvested over a year prior to even getting on the shelf. No thanks.

My family history is filled with cancer. My mother passed from lung cancer in 1996 at the age of 56. She was one of 12 siblings, 10 of whom have, have had, or have passed from cancer. My dad has skin cancer, yes, it's controlled, but his having it is of his own doing due to spending lots of time outside most of his life, plus living on a sailboat for 20-something years and traveling around the Pacific Ocean. But, the fact is, he has cancer. My sister had breast cancer at the age of 46.

So, with all of this family history of cancer, I tend to keep recipes, notes, articles, etc. on everything that has to do with natural ways to combat cancer. (There's another big one I discovered recently, but I'll save that information for another post).

While making this tea, I would be praying and doing healing spell work over it to bring even more power & energy into the tea. Once completed I would do a healing ritual over the bottles as well.

So, for those interested in a cancer prevention/curing tea that many swear by, but I've never tried myself as of yet, here is the recipe and directions on how to make it.

******
The ESSIAC formula :
6 1/2 cups of Burdock Root (cut)
16 ounces of Sheep Sorrel herb (powder)
1 ounce of Turkey Rhubarb Root (powder)
4 ounces of Slippery Elm Bark (powder)

Preparation of ESSIAC herbal tea:
1.   Measure out 8 ounces of the Essiac mix (the dry formula above)
2.   Place two gallons of distilled water in a stainless steel kettle.
3.   Bring the water to a brisk boiling point (about 30 minutes)
4.   Put ESSIAC dry mix into the boiling water, stir and boil hard for about 10 minutes
5.   Allow to sit and cool slowly for six hours.
6.   After six hours, stir it thoroughly with a wooden or stainless tool
7.   Let it sit for another six hours
8.   Return kettle to stove and bring to a boil
9.   When the boiling point is reached, turn off the heat and pour the contents through a stainless strainer into a second stainless kettle
10. Clean the first kettle thoroughly
11. Strain the contents a second time from pot two to pot one
12. Bottle the herbal tea immediately into dark amber bottles and seal it while still hot
13. Store in refrigerator

Directions for use of ESSIAC:
Heat two ounces (four tablespoons) distilled water, then mix it with two ounces of ESSIAC tea taken directly from the refrigerator. ESSIAC should be taken at bed time on an empty stomach, at least two hours after eating. It can be taken in the morning on an empty stomach. If taken in the morning, do not eat for at least two hours after taking the ESSIAC. Keep the ESSIAC refrigerated at all times. Shake well each time before pouring.

List of Saints

List of Saints
For those who work with the saints in their works, I found a site that has an alphabetical listing of 5,775 saints! I'd say there are enough there to more than find one for what ever purpose y'all may have that needs attention and saintly assistance.

The site is called Catholic Online and the list page is here. Check it out! I was amazed at how many there were. Each listing that I clicked on had a good amount of information about that saint.

***
Another site I found has calendars that show the saint of each day. This very useful calendar can be found here on the American Catholic website. You can scroll through the months to find a particular date that you want to know what saint belongs to that day, or just see what saint is for the current date.

I hope y'all find these sites as useful as I know I will!

The Efficacy of Spells & Other Magic(k) Works

The Efficacy of Spells & Other Magic(k) Works
When a person wants a particular work done for them, whether it's a divination reading or a full ritual, they're first question is usually regarding "will it work?" or "how fast will it work?". My answer is always the same:

Spells always work! However, (there's always a qualifier, isn't there? lol)...However, there are always factors to consider. Here I'll break them down by divination readings and magic(k) works and list them, explaining each one so y'all can understand how magic(k) works.

For divination readings:
1) How much information do you want?
A 3-card reading will not give as in depth a reading as a 10-card reading. Is there a specific question or just a wanting to know how the general situation is playing out at the moment? Many factors to think about and work into the question.

2) How specific is your question?
"Will I get some money?" is ridiculous. Of course you will, especially if you're employed. And those who are not employed usually obtain money in other ways, such as pawning or selling something, doing an odd job for someone to get paid for it, unemployment, family loan/gift, even theft (which is NOT recommended, for obvious reasons). There are lots of ways money could be obtained.

So, for divination readings the client must be clear in their mind exactly what they're asking. Maybe they don't know exactly what they're wanting to know, but the question must be asked very clearly. For example, "How will I obtain enough income to live comfortably on?" A job may present itself, or an inheritance, or lottery (wouldn't we all?!). The cards may be specific or they may just let you know that "yes" you will receive income. There will usually be hints given as to in what direction to look or to work toward obtaining your goal of more money/income.

Sometimes the cards will also present a situation that is yet unknown, such as a health problem. If this occurs, then it is best to have another reading specific to that particular situation.

For those who just don't really know what they want to know, then a general card reading, where no question is asked, and it will give an idea of what's to come. Then if there are specific questions regarding various aspects of that reading, a new reading can be done that is situation-specific to bring more clarity to that aspect of the first reading.

On occasion a reading will present a specific time frame. But don't count on it. Asking for a "when will such & such happen?" usually doesn't get answered. The cards will only tell you what you need to know. Nothing more.

For magic(k) works:
1) Are you certain of what it is you want done?
A healing work can only work to the point that the person's spirit allows it to. The best way to send healing to someone is to send the energy out to their spirit and let it decide how best it should be received. We humans have no control over this part of it. Once the energy is sent, we have to trust the Divine that it will be welcomed, but if it is not, the Divine will know where best to send it.

A hexing can be generalized, such as just making the person's life miserable, i.e. nothing goes right. A curse work should be relatively specific, being very clear on the "who". The "what" can be stressed, but it's up to the Divine on the actual specifics. And, as for the "when", well that's usually rather quickly, but again, it's up to the Divine.

2) Does it work?
Yes, all spells work. But how they work can be the tricky part. Here again, we have to be very specific. What we may want to happen and how it actually manifests may be very different. The works call upon the Divine energies, thus the Divine alone knows exactly how an action should be carried out. Our wants and desires of what we would like see occur are taken into consideration as well, and the combination of each makes for a very powerful work.

3) Can a work be guaranteed 100%?
Yes and no. Yes, as explained above, all spells work. But no, because no one can guarantee, beyond a doubt, the exact outcome that will manifest. More than likely it will be what is wanted, it may also be better than expected, but it could also be nothing even considered at all. It is this latter affect that the client may not even see occur, but its effect on the intended person themselves is quite overwhelming and the changes to their life is most certainly felt by them.

If y'all ever go searching for someone to do works for you, don't stick around long if they profess to have a perfect record of perfectly bringing about everything exactly as you want. Only the Divine has this ability. Our abilities come from God and pass through us. We are just the conduit/messenger from which to help the client through their situation. And through helping others we help ourselves. It becomes a circle of blessing.

4) How fast will it work?
That depends. Usually quite rapidly. But sometimes certain factors must be put in place first so that all the pieces can fall together appropriately.

For example, someone wants a new job. Well, if they're not looking they're not going to be led to find one. If they are looking, then they will be led to the right place or the right person to which they will then find the job.

There's a saying which I firmly believe in, "God helps them that helps themselves."

Clients that expect a rootworker or Hoodoo or Witch to just "make" things happen will be sadly disappointed. The client is the one closest to the situation and thus must be required to expend some of their own energies as well. Simple actions given by the worker for the client to do must be done or the manifestation of their spell will take longer, work out differently, or maybe even not at all. Any worker who doesn't tell their client this very important point isn't being completely truthful to the client.

I am not perfect, but I will always be perfectly honest with my clients. I will never let them jump into a spell work without first discussing every aspect of the situation so they know exactly where they're coming from and exactly where they wish to go with it.

Just because you want a specific person to be your spouse doesn't mean it is what they're spirit wants. The spirit of the person will never allow that person to do anything contrary to their true will. Even if the person thinks one thing, their spirit will guide them otherwise to that which is the more beneficial for that person. And no amount of spell works will ever change that.

If after doing a set of rituals to obtain that which you want and nothing completely manifests, but only bits & pieces do, then it is time to re-think what it is that you truly need, not what you want. Humans work on their "wants", but the Divine knows what we "need". So when y'all's monies keep being spent on the same thing and the outcome keeps coming out the same, maybe it's time to realize that you're going about it all wrong. A good, honest rootworker will help you find the right path to take. Those who are just taking your money won't really go into much detail on the "who, what, when, where, why" of it all.

So, this was just a little rant I had to share. I've had several clients recently who have come to me from elsewhere and asked many of these questions (and more), so I thought it time to answer them for those of y'all who may visit my blog and be asking the same kinds of things. If I haven't answered the questions you may have, please feel free to contact me and I'd love to help.

Many blessings to all y'all this year!

You're happy, fulfilled and truly thankful. For this moment, the World and everything in it is yours.

We all recognize this feeling. It can come at any time or place and is always welcome. We can feel it at home raking the leaves or on the world stage accepting the Nobel Prize. It can seem quiet and simple, or wild and glorious. What is this feeling, and where does it come from? Card 21 can help us find out.

A major element of happiness is wholeness - the sense that everything is working together in harmony. Not in a static way, but with dynamic balance. Involvement is also important. To be happy, we must feel connected - engaged with what is around us. There is also accomplishment - knowing that we have goals and are moving toward them successfully. When all these elements come together, we feel fulfilled and blessed.

The World represents these moments and all that goes into them. In readings, it is a very positive sign that you are in a position to realize your heart's desire. What that is for you depends on the situation, but it will always feel great. Remember, though, that Card 21 is a symbol of active contribution and service. To hold the World in our hands, we must give of ourselves to it. That is the source of true happiness.

Accept and enjoy your well-earned rewards. The journey is over, and you've come full spiral. New doors will open and new adventures will begin.

Completion, success and arrival to your destination is at hand; attainment through perseverance - be sure to share it with others!

Coming into your own through the application of your creative imagination & willpower. Take pleasure in your work.

Forgiving yourself and others
Atoning for past mistakes
Unburdening yourself
Feeling sins washed away

On Card 20, we see people rising up at the call of an angel. It is Judgment Day, when the faithful are brought to heaven, but what about those who are not saved? Have they been judged and found wanting? For their sins, will they be denied the presence of God? It is this aspect of judgment that is unsettling. How can judgment be reconciled with forgiveness?

In fact, judgment comes in two forms. The hurtful kind says, "What you did is wrong, and you are bad and worthless for having done it." This type of judgment separates and leaves no room for redemption. It is possible to judge without condemning. We assess the matter, weigh all sides and try to discern the truth. We recognize the need to choose and hope for the courage to do so wisely - but without blame.

In readings, Card 20 can be a reminder that judgments are necessary; sometimes you must decide. At such moments, it is best to consider the matter carefully and then commit yourself without censure. If you are being judged yourself, learn from the process. Take what is of value, correct what needs correcting, but never lose sight of your worth.

Card 20 also stands for the feelings that come with salvation. When the angel calls, you are reborn - cleansed of all guilts and burdens. The past and its mistakes are behind you, and you are ready to begin anew. You may even feel a calling - a personal conviction of what you are meant to do. If you are in a low period, in need of hope and absolution, Judgment can show you that renewal is at hand.

Accomplishments are acknowledged, by yourself or from others. Establish new personal relationships.

Review the difficulties you've come through. Self-evaluation will give hindsight to what you should've done and foresight on how to handle future situations.

Intuition awakening  - Life Path may be calling - follow it! Banish idleness with action.

Powerful transformative energies. Nothing is more permanent than change. Shun ease and comfort for progress.

Immense pressures. Rise above emotional turmoil. Even a reversal of emotions may be in order.

Higher callings.

Thinking outside the box, timing is of the essence.

On the brink of a new relationship with, and a new understanding of, life. The turning of a page in life. An end, the passing of an old condition, leads to a new beginning.

Attitudes have been measured and judged, leading to a more mature outlook. Through perception there is awareness. Broaden your mentality.

Death is but a transition.

Brilliant. Radiant. Sparkling. So many of our words reflect (!) the power and glory of light. When we turn on the light in a room, we illuminate it so that all the dark corners are visible. When we turn on the light in our minds, we are enlightened. We see clearly and understand the truth. Both within and without, the energy of light expands our limits and makes us shine.

Throughout history, people have honored the Sun as the source of light and warmth. In the myths of many cultures, the Sun is a prominent god - full of vigor and courage. He is the vital energy center that makes life on earth possible. In the tarot the Sun also symbolizes vitality and splendor. The Sun is definitely not a meek and retiring card.

In readings, you will understand Card 19 if you imagine yourself to be a Sun God. How do you think and feel? You have total confidence in yourself. You are not cocky, but profoundly sure of your power. You have unlimited energy and glow with health. You have a greatness about you and stand out brilliantly. Finally, you see and understand all that is happening within your sphere. When you see this card, know that you will be successful at all you undertake. Now is the time to let your light shine.

Harmonious development is all aspects of life.

A happy marriage. A circle of love protects you. Guard the sacredness of marriage.
