Garden Planting Chart

The following chart gives some general crops to plant with zodiac sign and lunar quarter to plant them in. You'll need a calendar that provides this information to know exactly when these times fall.


1st Quarter:
Cancer - Cabbage, Cantaloupe, Cauliflower, Collard Greens, Corn, Cucumber, Endive, Gourds, Herbs, Kale, Lettuce, Spinach


Gemini - Endive

It is preferable to plant above-ground plants during the water signs of Cancer, Pisces, & Scorpio, and the root plants during the earth signs of Capricorn, Taurus, & Virgo. 

The fire signs of Aries, Leo, & Sagittarius are best for the spicier plants, although oddly enough apples are best planted during a fire sign also. If you really like the spicy peppers, then also use a mild fertilizer during a fire sign. However, a strong fertilizer used during a fire sign will do more harm than good to the plants.
